BioRhythm
BioRhythm is an adaptable sculpture that comes to life by synthesising the biofeedback of plants and urban surroundings, transforming the data into living soundscapes and explosions of colour.
Produced in partnership with Buko studio, BioRhythm is a multi-sensory landscape and immersive public art installation which was first displayed at Queen Victoria in 2022, with the support of the City of Melbourne activation grant. In 2024, BioRhythm will transform Grattan Gardens in Greville Street Prarahn throughout April and May, with the support of the City of Stonnington.
BioRhythm creates music and sound show from the biofeedback from the surrounding urban environment and a variety of plants endemic to the site, which were were curated with the guidance of the projects Community Partner, Rewilding Stonnington.
As people move through the installation, visitors are invited to explore nature's intrinsic role in urban environments and deepen their perspective on place as they delve into QR code-enhanced educational materials.
